GAUTAM LAW CHAMBER
Comprehensive Scholarship Program for Law Students (Academic Year 2027)

Gautam Law Chamber is pleased to institute a merit-based scholarship program aimed at identifying, encouraging, and financially supporting outstanding law students demonstrating academic excellence, legal aptitude, and professional commitment.


1. Scholarship Overview

  • Scholarship Amount: Rs. 1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lakh Only) per annum
  • Number of Scholarships: 10 (to be determined by the Selection Committee)
  • Duration: One academic year (renewable subject to performance and compliance with terms)
  • Mode of Disbursement: As per Clause 10 of this document

2. Objectives of the Scholarship

  • To promote excellence in legal education
  • To support deserving and meritorious law students financially
  • To encourage analytical, ethical, and professional development in the legal field
  • To identify future leaders in the legal profession

3. Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must satisfy all of the following conditions:

  1. Must be enrolled in a recognized LL.B. (3-year or 5-year) program from a recognized university/institution in India
  2. Must have secured a minimum of:
    • 60% aggregate marks (General Category), or
    • 55% aggregate marks (SC/ST/OBC/EWS) in the last qualifying examination
  3. Must not be a recipient of any other scholarship exceeding Rs. 50,000 per annum (unless disclosed and approved)
  4. Must demonstrate good moral character and academic integrity
  5. Must not have any record of disciplinary action from their institution

4. Scholarship Examination

The scholarship shall be awarded based on performance in a competitive examination conducted by Gautam Law Chamber.

Examination Components:

  • Legal Aptitude
  • Constitutional Law Basics
  • General Legal Awareness
  • Logical Reasoning
  • Essay / Case Analysis (if applicable)

Mode: Online / Offline (as notified)
Duration:  3 hours
Evaluation Criteria: Accuracy, analytical ability, clarity of reasoning, and legal understanding


5. Application Process

Applicants must:

  1. Submit a duly filled application form
  2. Provide the following documents:
    • Proof of enrolment
    • Academic transcripts
    • Identity proof
    • Recent passport-size photograph
  3. Pay application fee (if applicable): Rs. 100/-
  4. Submit before the prescribed deadline

Incomplete or late applications shall be rejected without notice.


6. Selection Process

The selection shall be conducted in the following stages:

  1. Stage I: Written Scholarship Examination
  2. Stage II: Shortlisting based on merit
  3. Stage III: Personal Interview (if applicable)

The final selection shall be made by the Scholarship Selection Committee, whose decision shall be final and binding.


7. Merit Criteria

  • Minimum qualifying marks: 60 %
  • Merit list shall be prepared based on overall performance
  • Tie-breaker: Higher marks in legal aptitude section / interview performance

8. Obligations of Scholarship Recipients

Selected candidates shall:

  1. Maintain a minimum academic performance of 60 % during the scholarship period
  2. Participate in academic or internship activities as may be assigned
  3. Maintain discipline and professional conduct
  4. Submit periodic progress reports, if required

Failure to comply may result in suspension or cancellation of the scholarship.


9. Renewal Policy

Scholarship renewal (if applicable) shall be subject to:

  • Continued academic excellence
  • Compliance with all terms and conditions
  • Review by the Selection Committee

10. Disbursement of Scholarship

  • The scholarship amount shall be disbursed:
    • In installments (quarterly/bi-annually), OR
    • As reimbursement of academic expenses, OR
    • Direct transfer to the recipient’s bank account
  • Disbursement is subject to verification of documents and compliance

11. Termination / Cancellation

The scholarship may be terminated if:

  • The candidate provides false or misleading information
  • Academic performance falls below required standards
  • Misconduct or indiscipline is reported
  • The candidate discontinues their course

In such cases, Gautam Law Chamber reserves the right to recover disbursed amounts.


12. General Terms and Conditions

  1. The decision of Gautam Law Chamber shall be final and binding in all matters
  2. Gautam Law Chamber reserves the right to:
    • Modify, suspend, or cancel the scholarship program
    • Change eligibility criteria or examination pattern
  3. No correspondence shall be entertained regarding selection decisions
  4. Participation in the examination does not guarantee selection
  5. Legal jurisdiction for disputes shall be Bikaner District Court.

  • Application Start Date: 01 April 2026
  • Last Date to Apply: 15 April 2026
  • Examination Date: 01 Aug 2026
  • Result Announcement:: 15 Aug 2026
